Hello, my name is Eileen, and I am a visual artist and abstract painter. When I was a small girl, I drew my artwork on the underside of my mother’s coffee table. When I grew up and was in college I was still very shy, and my art teacher said my paintings were the size of a greeting card. So, I launched my art career by designing stationery products for my own company, Jag Graphics…named after my black cat Jag.

My greeting cards are like small paintings. As my company grew, I was featured in Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor and various other department stores across the country.  Eventually after much success, I ventured from notecards that looked like small paintings into larger paintings, and now abstract paintings.

I gravitate toward abstracts because color has always been my strong suit. My skill with color sets the tone in my various collections. Growing up in California was a major inspiration for my work - the light and shapes of the surrounding areas, the soft pastel palette.

My art is quiet at times, yet can be bold and playful. What excites and gives me passion are the relationships that I have formed by sharing my love of art with my clients.

Artist connections give people a sense of who we are as creators. They are more likely to buy when they’ve gotten to know our voice and our work.

I believe that any painting that deserves a space in a gallery, or a home or a collection should spark an emotional connection with the viewer.  My paintings start conversations, they slow people down and let them breathe deeper for those few moments of observation. For this reason, I believe that my paintings have a place in many more collections.

Thank you!
